Teens In Tutus

Get a load of how stinking cute these girls are. They came to a younger girl's party the other day and we thought they were so cute in those tutus and knee high socks. We just had to snap a few pictures. One of them is even having her own dance party tomorrow night.

I'm learning to love teenagers and not fear them. ;)

16 Year Old Black Out Party

Truth be told, Misty and I were a bit scared of what we were getting ourselves into with this Black Out Party or Rave. We decided that even though we we not technically "working" this party, we'd stay on hand and get some work done in our office. Well let me just say, these kids were great! This was "J's" 16th birthday and he and his friends just like to dance. Dance they did too! The idea of a Rave or a Black Out Party is that the room is totally blacked out. We covered the windows with black plastic and changed the light bulbs to black lights. The kids wore white or neon clothes so they would glow in the black lights. In addition, we provided them with glow sticks. These kids had a ball! Misty and I learned a lot about what music is cool today...hey, they even played some old school music. Remember Jump Around??? It's hot today! Who knew?

"J's" 15th Birthday

"J" celebrated her 15th birthday with us at Soiree. I'm glad she did. It was sort of a last minute thing, but looks like her parents pulled it off. I think Dad might have enjoyed himself. Good thing he didn't find the dresses in the closet to go with that hat. Just kidding Dad...no way you would have done that...right?

Masquerade Party!

E's mom and I have been working on this surprise party for a while. I think we pulled it off. The kids dressed up and were handed masks at the door. The birthday girl arrived 3o minutes after all the other guests and we did the classic..."SURPRISE" Yell as she walked in the door. The birthday girl was swept away to get dressed in the beautiful dress that was waiting for her. The kids danced and ate for a while. Then we all hopped in cars for a scavenger hunt around town. I think they really enjoyed knocking on doors and asking for crazy items like "a man juggling".
